Blog tour: Local Woman Missing by Mary Kubica

Today’s my stop on LWM blog tour and I’m excited to let you guys know my thoughts on this one!

First of all this is my very first novel from Kubica. I’ve been hearing great things from her novels and needless to say they’re not wrong. Here I’m going to share an excerpt from the novel and my thoughts about it so let’s start!

“I draw up my text and then hit Send. The reply is immediate, that all too familiar ping that comes to me at all hours of the day or night. I glance down at the phone in my hand, expecting is my client with some conditioned reply. Thx. Instead: I know what you did. I hope you die.”

I’m a sucker for thrillers. If you follow my Instagram you know that I’m always looking for the latest, amazing, who-did-it novel. I know I’m super late for Kubica’s game, it is after all my first novel but I’m so glad I was invited for the blog tour because otherwise Lord knows when I would’ve got my hands on her books!

This book started super strong, a woman named Shelby goes out for a run (or is she?) and nobody has seen her since. As you keep reading, another woman, Meredith, goes missing with her daughter Delilah and there’s seem to be a connection between them. Eleven years later Delilah returns…

I loved that you get the different point of views and timelines of what is going on during the entire novel. Expect twists, secrets getting out to the light and a run to find out the culprit. Yes. This is one of those novels that you can’t put down. Period.
